I need to install a hitch to the rear bumper on my 27' cherokee. It will be used to transport an electric scooter for a disabled person. They sell adjustable hitches for various frame widths. My trailer is being stored about 200 miles from home on some land that I own and I would like to order the hitch now. Can you tell me what is the width of the frame at the rear bumper. Also do I need to drop the receiver to clear the bumper. Thanks!
