I have a 1998 Pace arrow with dual ac units that don't come on. They stay on shed and never go to cooling. I can switch the test switch for both unit and it works. I have replaced both the circuit board under the fridge and the climate control and still no change. HELP
Optional Information: Year: 1998 Make (other): Pace Arrow Vision Model: 35W Engine: 454 Chevy Already Tried: I have replaced both the circuit board and the climate control unit
Hi: Thank you for coming to Just Answer with your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX perhaps I can assist you with this issue.
I need the make and model of the A/Cs and the style of thermostat and make as well. Do you have a small multimeter so we can do some testing?
I do have a volt meter. I just need to run out to the RV and get the info one the A/C units
10-4
The A/C units are Coleman Mach units and the thermostat is an Intellitec dual control unit
RV Intellitec Electronic Climate Control 00-00597-100
What circuit board under the fridge did you replace? And you replaced the whole thermostat unit with a new one of the same kind as the one you just mentioned?
INTELLITEC ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL MASTER CONTROLLER XXXXXXXXXX I have replaced the thermostat
Did you check to see what kind of AC voltage you have AT the service breakers for the A/Cs? And do you have a 30 amp or a 50 amp shore cord?
At the main breakers in the RV the A/C units are 20 amps.
And do you have a 30 amp shore cord (3 prongs) or a 50 amp cord (4 prongs) here?
30 prong
3 Prong
So you can only run one A/C at a time unless you have the generator on. You did know this correct? Take an AC voltage reading at the main breaker for the whole system AND then one at the A/C breaker at the feed wire. What kind of voltage do you have? Do you have a switch on the wall so you can choose front or rear on the A/Cs?
Yes I know that I can only run one a/c unit at a time, and the climate control (Thermostat) has controls for both. It doesn't matter if the generator is running or if it is plugged in (30 amp) the a/c units stay in the shed mode and never come on. The only way I can turn on the a/c units is by switching the test switch on the INTELLITEC ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL MASTER CONTROLLER
You turn on the test switch and either one works?
Yes the test switch has a stop for each a/c unit, they are "test" "1" "2"
When I get home I will grab a manual for this system and get back to you. No response is needed as every time you do I have to answer it. R.J.
Intellitec took down the manuals off their new website.............that kind of sucks. Did you get any manual with the new one you installed?
No
Until I get can some documentation on this I am pretty much not able to proceed. We know that the A/Cs work........so it isn't that. It much be in the control or the way it is wired.Or it is defective. The thermostat section isn't working...........and without the manual I can't direct you in testing. Perhaps give Intellitec a call at(NNN) NNN-NNNNand have them direct you in some testing. R.J.
