2004 demon: motor home..V10..Odometer works, speedometer does

Resolved Question:

I have a 2004 Damon-Daybreak motorhome on a workhorse chasis with V10 ford power. Odometer works, speedometer doesn't. What are my options?

Hi: Thank you for coming to Just Answer with your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX perhaps I can assist you with this issue.

This is a common complaint on Workhorse Chassis units.........and if you go to the Workhorse website HERE you can register you VIN number to see what is going on with this. I have heard they are still repairing them under warranty. If this is not the case please let me know. R.J.

Randall, it appears I do not have a workhorse chasis, what could it be?

Expert:  Randall replied 5 years ago.
It sounds like a Ford F-53 series chassis.........and in that case it would be something you can get from Ford. Damon may have some input as well. That number is(NNN) NNN-NNNN
As far as I can "see" from here this is going to need a new speedo head. R.J.
