Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. If you light came on, and then went back off, it is most likely your gas cap is not fully tightened. The system checks for vapor pressure in the fuel tank. If the cap is a little loose, the vapor pressure escapes. The pressure sensor in the tank will read this and illuminate the light. I would recommend you check the tightness of the cap.
