with a renault clio year 2000, 1.4 engine, how difficult will it be to convert the vehcile to a v6 engine? and what other changes will have to be made to support a v6 engine?
Hello, This would not be an advisable thing to do. The complete drive chain would need to be changed, ie, engine, gearbox, drives shafts ect. Also the brakes and suspension would need to be changed to accomodate the drive shafts. Engine and gearbox mounts will need to be changed. Then there is the wiring loom, ecu's and engine sensors. Exhaust system and emission controls. Body work would need to changed to accommodate the wider drive shafts and larger wheels. It could be a good project, but by the time you spend, and the cost of the parts, you have to ask what will you end up with. Might be better to buy something that has already been done, or near completed, or a factory one. Thanks and good luck Darrenshadeydaz41105.2901607292
