Hi Jean. It’s Marie again. Well he came by my job a few days ago to pick something up (at my request). I wanted to meet him in the parking lot, but he asked if we could meet in my office. During the course of our conversation, he said something about Lawyers and how he heard about a couple who were in the beginning stages of their divorce and spent a lot of money on Lawyers because the couples were mad at each other. The couple he was referring too doesn’t live in our State of Maryland.
Anyway, he continued on and said that he was glad Maryland makes a couple wait until almost a year before they can get a divorce because then a couple can calm down before hiring a lawyer. He continued and said one couple he knew even hired one Lawyer for both of them (which I didn’t know you could do). The whole time he was telling me this it seemed like he was trying to read my thoughts.Well, I started thinking right then and there….What the hell is he doing? Is he trying to get me upset at work? Luckily I didn’t engage him in that conversation because I was afraid of where it would lead too.
After he left I started thinking that he must be talking to many different people about their divorce experiences because he does want one or he thinks I do. I don’t know. That’s why he mentioned it to me. Why else would he talk to others about it? Am I right in my thinking Jean?
