if you have a "crazy" parent, who cries and pouts in front

This answer was rated:

if you have a "crazy" parent, who cries and pouts in front of you and your child how do you explain to your child that they are mentally crazy? if the child loves them and is 10yr old?
Hi and thank you for being a good JA customer,

It is too soon to explain "crazy" but when that parent acts emotional in front of ten year old you can keep it at a feeling level.

"_____ is feeling very (sad, angry) today. But it is not your fault. You did not do anything to make ___ feel this way. When _____ is feeling better you will see ____ again.

The child needs reassurance abou 2 things: this is not child's fault and parent will not abandon them.

Hope this helps....
