Customer Question

My fiancee has a habit of "running" from problems. Whenever we have one, he always asks me, "do you want to break up?" Why does he do this and how can I help him?

Hello Torig,

How long have you been together?

How old are the two of you?

What kinds of problems are you having?

Reply to Ms Chase's Post: We have been together about 8 months now, he's 29 and I am 26. Well, recently we had a problem where he had pictures of other, half-naked women on the wall, but he's taken them down now. It made me feel like I wasn't enough for him anymore, but he swears that's not true. Also, he has no problem marrying me, but as soon as I mention being together FOREVER, he says: "That's a long time." So what can I do both to get him to stop asking me if I want to break up and to get him to stop saying: "That's a long time."
