My device just stopped. the screen went blank I watch it

my device just stopped. the screen went blank I watch it many hours every day i
JA: What's the make/model number of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Are you there?
JA: No. I'm the Video Technician's Assistant.
Customer: model 2050x-RTL-00 Age? I can only guess. Maybe 6 yrs
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Just began. Nothing. Screen just went blank. This is south Florida where we have frequentt thunder and lightning instances.
JA: Anything else you want the video expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: All of my other devices work, computer, tv, electrical outlets.

Hello, Your screen going blank is either caused by the TV the HDMI cable or the Roku itself.

Follow these steps to fix the issue:

1) Shut the TV off and unplug the Roku from power (pull the power cord out of the back of the unit).

2) Unplug and reconnect the HDMI cable on BOTH ends making sure it's secure.

3) Plug the Roku back in and turn the TV on.

Let me know if you do or do not see the Roku letters bouncing on the screen.
