I purchased a Sony Blu-ray Disc/ DVD Player. I am having one trouble trying to connect to my in home wireless modem. It states that the signal is excellent, however when trying to connect to Netflix*. It carries me through all kind of changes and still will not connect (connection Failed)

we have a Netflix account. No we did not register the Blue-ray disc Player with Netflix (How should I have known about this information?).
