Customer Question

We have VHS Video Player and recorder Model DMR-EZ47DV3. We have no trouble playing our DVD's but the Video recordings cannot be watched because they are too blurred and sound is not clear. That means half of the machine is not operational and we would like to know if it can be fixed. Thank you Beryl Coady

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially and the only easy user doable try is to reduce the output resolution if connected by HDMI.

All others particularly if the Panasonic VHS side has been working previously with the same connecting cables to the same TV would make the described symptom almost always point to an internal hardware issue

If so, are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach? If yes, do you have access to and familiar with a multi-meter and even perhaps a soldering iron?

Please post back how you would want to approach this and/or should additional information be needed.
