Hello, The no signal message is generated by the TV- not the DVD player. What is the model number off the back of your TV?

Or, the quick fix is to grab the TV remote (not the DVD remote) and find the button labeled either:

Input

TV/Video

Source

And press it repeatedly until you see the DVD screen on the TV again.

If you can't find that button on the TV remote (not the DVD remote), then reply back with the model number off of the back of your TV (HINT: No Signal means the TV is not receiving any "INPUT" on the selected source).

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Again, if you can't locate that Input/Source or Video button on the TV remote- simply reply back with the model off of the back of the TV- or even the brand and the rough age, and we can continue. Don't rate if you have problems- just type back to me so I can see where you're getting stuck.

Alternatively if you DO find the Input button- and are successful in getting the DVD setup MENU back- then please rate me by clicking on the 5 stars on the page.

I did try that , but nothing work
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Okay, I've asked several for the model number off the back of the TV so I can help you- can you respond with that like I asked?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
my model TV number is *****
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

That number is ***** Anyhow is this an LG TV you're talking about here?

If so, then go and UNPLUG the DVD from power for 10 seconds.

Plug it back in and turn it on.

Grab the LG remote and find the INPUT button.

Select "AV" or "Video" with that button.

If that does not work then select "Component" with that button.

These are the possible Inputs the DVD could be plugged into.

Reply back with EXACTLY what you have done and what you see on the screen.

that exactly what I did last night , unplug every thing almost an hour the plug everything back in , but it didn't work at all . And the problem is , it don't have any in put button on my LG remote .It just have the button that I can switch directly to AV from TV , and the opposite , that's it
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
but I just did it again like you told , unplug everything almost 2 minute now .Let me put it back everything to see what happend
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Get me the full model number off the back of the TV.

Also, what connections are being used between the DVD and the TV.

I need specifics in order to sort this. Thank you.

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Also do you have the ORIGINAL LG remote?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
that the one I'm using .Oh by the bay the model # ***** ***** , not LG like I typed before , sorry
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
what you mean by what connections are being used between the DVD and the TV ? I'm confuse about this ?
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Also, what connections are being used between the DVD and the TV?

Red,White,Yellow RCA cables?

Red,Blue,Green,Red and White RCA cables?

HDMI cable?

How do you have it wired- WHICH of those connections??

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
oh it red white yelloe & rca cables
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

And those cables are plugged into the "Line Out"- or the "Line In" on the Sony DVD?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Line out , because when I got the dvd player yesterday, when I plug in line out .I worked very smoothly in both dvd & vhs , It just turn in like this because off my stupid mistake
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
anyway , I just put everything back in , it still the sam NO SIGNAL
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Yes, Okay I just want to make sure.

Now the Yellow cable needs to be in the "CVBS" jack on the TV.

Turn the DVD "ON".

Grab the WESTINGHOUSE REMOTE.

Find the SOURCE button.

Select EACH AND EVERY SOURCE SELECTION- one at a time.

Let me know what you see on the screen for EACH selection.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
what you mean Grab the WESTINGHOUSE REMOTE ? is that my LG remote ?
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

You told me a model number of a Westinghouse TV- not an LG TV the second time you posted- so?

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

This number here: " LD-2480" is a Westinghouse 24" LCD TV- not an LG set. So what TV do you have here?

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Are you still with me?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
oh that right,I'm sorry , you rite the model number is *****
but I just did like you said . turn on my dvd , but I don't have any CVBS button on TV , and I just put the input source button on the remote , to switch to AV to play the DVD .It still the same No Signal , nothing happend
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Hmmm, okay. I never mentioned a CVBS button- anyhow let's forget that for now.

Now grab the Sony remote and make sure the little slide switch at the top is moved over to "DVD".

Then press the Video button.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

No problem.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

I've got to run. Don't do anything- someone else will be along to assist you. If you rate poor or bad- it will take longer for you to get a response. I am opting out and opening the question back up for other experts to answer.
