Customer Question

I have Digital voice recorder model MB2059 Memorex.
I have had this one for sometime with no problems.
Now back to using it again after one to two years it will not work. I have used the best batteries, and they last long time seems it just does not want to work with fresh batteries it almost looks like a bit of acid leaked from batteries , i tried to take it of but just not wants to work again. I went no where without this great piece of digital voice recorder.

Hi Im sorry to hear that. This is a connectrion issue.

WHen the batteries leak they will ruin the connection on the contacts inside the battery compartment.

It also could have damaged the ends of the wires attached to the clips and springs.

But first we will deal with the clips and springs and see if that helps.

You need a disposable emery board (nail file) and clean the contacts well with that make sure you have shiny contacts.

Then using a q tip place a drop on each contact in the compartment and make sure you have good alkaline batteries that you can verify are fully charged;-)

That should do it.

If not let me know and we will go further. Please remember to rate kindly.

Thank you

You can also use WD-40 on the Q tip for even better results;-)
