I recently purchased a DVD cassette reorder and hooked it up.

I recently purchased a DVD cassette reorder and hooked it up. now I cannot seem to play it. I don't know if I power it up with the TV remote or with the VCR remote. I put the batteries in the VCR remote and don't know what is next. Need help Thanks Gloria

I turned on the TV remote and the TV went on I tried to turn on the power on the Magnavox remote and nothing happens.

Hello - maybe I can help.

Can you please tell me what cables you are using and the make and model of your TV and if you are able to get the VCR powered "on" via the front panel power to switch. and to what inputs and outputs you have them connected to exactly

It is a Magnavox DVD/CD player model # XXXXXXXX B I connected it with the cable that came with it red white and yellow. I put the batteries in the remote and no I cannot power it on with that remote.

Thank you for your reply. Please first verify that the batteries are correctly installed in the remote - often overlooked! Then , verify that the YELLOW cable is connected to the VIDEO IN on the TV, and the RED is connected to the AUDIO IN , RIGHT, the white is in AUDIO IN LEFT. Next, please try the remote, if it does NOT respond (power, play, etc.) use the front panel POWER button on the DVD and let me know what the results are -- please advise and thank you for your time.

I had a friend come in and was told that I had to have the input ontheTV put on input 7 AV and that was the answer.
