My Sony MHC-ZX10 Audio System stopped working. The power switch shows red on LED, means power is on, but no buttons on the system and remote work. This system was working perfectly fine until I opened the system body case, to remove a stuck up cassette. The cassette was removed very easily and nothing was broken.
Already Tried: I plugged OFF the system from the power strip and replugged in, but no change.
Hi,- Did you remove front of unit to take out stuck cassette?- Did you unplug connectors in unit for that? These info will help to diagnose the problem.Thanks.
Yes, I removed the front of the unit a little bit, to take out the cassette. No, I did not unplug connectors as I did not require to separate them.
OK, the front circuit board has connector that plugs into main circuit board directly, it seems misaligned or not plugged properly and need to be replug securely, make sure to unplug power cord of unit before removing top cover. Can you give me a good picture of the area where front circuit attach to main circuit board in unit? Use paper clip icon just above where you type your reply to attach the picture file.
Ok. I will respond you afterwards. I am going out now.
OK, take your time.
Hi,
Here are some images to reveal you the circuitry.
Thanks.
Please check the flexible ribbon wire that circled in yellow in below image, that seems misaligned and can cause the problem.Did you remove that flexible cable marked with yellow circle?
I already tried that. I did not pull that cable out while opening it first time. However, I did realign it again today, but there is no change. Any other idea ?

Relist: I still need help.
Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only... Initially, are you then considering a more involved DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach? Prerequisite would be familiarity with electronic components, access to / comfortable in the use of a multimeter and even a soldering iron. Equally important, could you make use of the repair / Service Manual?41108.2194725347
