I have a horse that was out on a lease purchase arrangement.

Customer Question

I have a horse that was out on a lease purchase arrangement. The individual has since stopped payment for the horse (4 months now) and has not paid board either (different facility). Can I reposes the horse? The place he is boarded is also trying to reclaim money by selling him at the auction. What are my options? We live in PA.

what does the agreement provide in the event of such default? Normally you would need to make demand and sue, but if the agreement permits repo, then you may. If not, you need to make demand and sue.
