What happens to a life estate that is more then 5 years old and the owner is in LTC. Can the remainder do anything with the property ?
JA: Where is the property located?
Customer: Minnesota
JA: Has any paperwork been filed?
Customer: There was a quick claim deed to life estate in 1990
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Concerned power of attorney may try to change something, also wondering , will the property just set there until the estate holder dies ?
