Customer Question

I'm interested in a 'private sale' through a tax sale at my county. I ran a title search and understand the past due amounts I would need to pay for past due taxes and city/county liens; BUT I can not determine the amount that I would need to payoff of the mortgage. How can I find out/determine the mortgage payoff?

Unfortunately, the only way to get the payoff amount would be to get a release from the borrower authorizing the lender to provide the information to you. I am not sure that the borrower/property owner would cooperate under the circumstances.

I am sorry that I do not have better news for you.
