I wanted to buy a house with an agent, I have no idea how

Customer Question

I wanted to buy a house with an agent, I have no idea how buying a house works. The agent took me to see one house in particular, I loved the home. It was a bank owned home, The agent made me sign lots of papers which I did. He made me deposit money from my bank account to escrow, everything was payable to my name cash. Days-weeks- have passed and I haven't heard back from the agent. And now I checked with an escrow company and the house is under the agent's name....
I have records of deposit where I deposited money to escrow. What was it that he was able to do to put home under his name?
What can I do? He doesn't return calls or emails and is never available.
