In 2014 I sold a condo in w.pb. florida during the search

in 2014 I sold a condo in w.pb. florida during the search the title co found a violation (plumbing) from 1992 wpb just decided to computerize all these opoen permits. the buyer say to ignore it told the closing agent to go ahead with the closing. we closed and I received a check oaround 11-12-14. now he callin me from Canada and wants me to pay to rectify this violation. am I liable for this

Did buyer sign a document / waiver related to this violation in order to close on the condo?

if he did I was not made aware of it, and there is no indication of it on the closing papers. from the title co.
