My exhusband made me sign a prenup stating I had nothing of

Customer Question

My exhusband made me sign a prenup stating I had nothing of his if we divorced. We are divorced but he keeps asking me to sign a quit claim deed to his house.
If I don't own any part of his house why is he pushing that a sign a quick claim deed? We live in Wisconsin.

Did he own the house prior to the marriage?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It's a condo he owns a third with each of his parents owning a third.
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 3 months ago.

He really doe snot a need a quit claim deed but he may just be covering his bases in case you were to make a claim at some point.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
do I own part of it? He's adamit that I must sign it.

Can I make a claim?
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 3 months ago.

No, both based on the prenup and the fact that he acquired the condo prior to your marriage, then you really do not own a part of it.

Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 3 months ago.

The only way you could challenge the prenup is that you claim you were under duress and he forced you to sign it.

I can just not sign the deed
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 3 months ago.

Yes, you do not have to. He cannot force you to sign it.
