Hello and thank you for contacting us. This is Dwayne B. and I’m an expert here and looking forward to assisting you today.

Can you provide a few facts to put this into context?

Why do you need the deed?

Why didn't it get filed?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Trying to prove that I'm the beneficiary on. The original deed had only my dad and my name on it, now my stepmom name popped up on it.

If there is a lawsuit pending then you can subpoena a copy from the lawyer or the title company that prepared it.

The lawyer would have a copy as he drafted it and the title company would have a copy of it immediately after it was signed.

How do I find the lawyer?
Expert:  Dwayne B. replied 6 months ago.

You would have to know that information. You could possibly run it down by looking through old copies of checks if you know the approximate date of when it was done.
