I am selling my home (it's under contract) The closing

Customer Question

Hello,
I am selling my home (it's under contract) The closing is set for July first. I don't know if the appraisal will be back in time and I have yet to order a septic inspection which will take at least a week. I'm scheduled to go to NC to look for a home on June 22nd. I may have to postpone that trip because of what needs to be done here in MI. So the July 1st closing is in doubt!! This whole thing has been a BIG nightmare. Is it possible to get out from under this contract?
Thank You,
JL

Does the contract contain any provisions for termination?

Is the buyer in default in any way?
