My evected tenant is still on my property a week after the

Customer Question

My evected tenant is still on my property a week after the termination date on the Landlords Termination Notice Without Stated Cause form was done by my attorney. My house is closing escrow in a week. What do I do to get her off the property? I live in Oregon. Do I call the Sheriffs & provide them with a copy of the Notarized Affidavit to get her removed?

Thank you for your question.

The Sheriff will not evict a tenant without a Court order.

"After the time specified in the notice has passed, if the defendant (tenant) has not left the

property you may file a Complaint with the court for the county where the property is

located." from

which explains the eviction process in some detail.

The only way to get a tenant out faster is to pay them to leave.

You can get a free consultation from some of the Oregon landlord tenant attorneys listed here.

I am sorry this is not the answer you had hoped for, but it would be unfair to you, and unprofessional of me, not to provide accurate information.

Please follow up on this with a local attorney.

I hope this information is helpful.
