Hello Adam,In a month-to-month lease situation, the tenant usually pays for rent in advance of the month. So whether or not the tenant is there for the full month, the obligation of the tenant is to pay for the entire month. And Louisiana law provides that either the landlord or tenant need only give 10 days written notice before the end of the month to terminate the tenancy. But rent for the entire month would be due even if tenant moves out before the end of the month.Thomas
