Sorry...what do you mean by "letter of interest from investor"...what do these papers say?
If all parties are on the lease? Then all parties are bound by the terms of the lease. And unless the lease provides otherwise, dissolving the marriage will not impact the lease. In other words, unless the lease says divorce will break the lease? Divorce will have no impact on the lease.
This is the part of my job I don't like...when the law is not in favor of my customer. I wish I could tell you that by divorcing you can end this lease obligation but I can only provide you information based on the law so that you can act on the best available information to you...I wish I had better news, but can only hope you recognize and understand my predicament and don't shoot the messenger. I'm sorry!
