Without any written rental agreement a "paying room renter"

Customer Question

Without any written rental agreement a "paying room renter" has decided to squat and has put locks on closet and bedroom doors without permission. Can I report him for trespassing? Call the cops? How do I get him out?

Hello. My name is***** will be happy to answer your question.
I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.

Unfortunately, the only legal way to remove such roommate, is to file for a legal eviction through the local court.

Here is the link to the website which explains eviction process in California:

I wish you the best of luck!
