Customer Question

I live in a 6 unit condo. Three units are 2 bedrooms and three are 1 bedrooms. We have to buy a new boiler. The 2-bedrm owners want to pay for it equally, while 2 1-bedrm owners want to pay by % ownership. A casual email vote resulted in a 5 to 1 decision to pay equally. Can the majority vote to force the 1-bedrm owner to pay more than her % ownership?
