I am showing up on the CAIVRS report. I have been approved

Customer Question

I am showing up on the CAIVRS report. I have been approved for a loan. The transfer of the deed shows September 4th, 2012. It was filed on October 5th, 2012.
The CAIVRS is saying that I am not eligible to buy until February 16th, 2016.
The 3 year time frame would have been met on September 4th. Why would there be a delay of 6 more months? Would this be because HUD did not pay the bank?

The delay can be for a variety of reasons.

The three year eligibility clock starts from the date that HUD paid the insurance claim to the lender. So, you need to contact HUD to see when the payment was made to the bank.
