I have an unsecured credit cart loan with a balence of $5,500.00. My sole sorse of income is disability. I do not think a cort will garnish a social security diect deposit check but I am a home owner that lives in Georgia. The last payment I made was in 2010. After that I lost my job.
Can a Lien be placed on my house?

While an unsecured creditor cannot garnish social security disability payments, the unsecured creditor can file a lawsuit and obtain judgment and the place a lien on the credit card borrower's real estate, including personal home.
