Are easements revocable.....such when purchased to cross

are easements revocable.....such when purchased to cross over property to use a lake.....if the person who purchases the easements from a lake assc. does not pay his dues as stated in the easements or violates lake rules...can they lose easement

An easement is an indefinite right to use land and it goes on the deed of the land and cannot be revoked unless the easement is abused or abandoned. License, on the other hand, is where someone pays for the right to use land and that may be revoked at any time in accordance with the agreement.
If there is an easement right here, then you can seek to terminate the easement in court based on the abuse of the easement (failure to pay, violating rules) and it would take a court order to terminate an easement, whereas if there was only a license granted, that could be terminated without court action based on breach of the agreement.
