I have a question regarding tree limbs hanging over my fence, what are my rights?

Good afternoon. Ideally, you would speak with your neighbor and ask them to trim/cut them back. However, if they will not, then you do have a legal right to cut them back. However, you need to keep in mind that you can not cut them back any more then is necessary to remove them from encroaching onto your property and can not do anything that would damage or harm the tree.
