My HOA in Falling Waters WV has informed me after the fact

Customer Question

My HOA in Falling Waters WV has informed me after the fact they will be placing a speed
bump sign in what they say is right of way in front of my home. I feel it is an eyesore, the
speed bumps were installed without notification as well. I am wondering if I have any
recourse in this matter or just let it go. Thx Sheldon M Smith

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be glad to help you.
I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.
Unfortunately, an HOA has the legal right to place such speed bumps in common areas / HOA roads, including a speed bump sign in the HOA right of way, however, the HOA member / owner has the right to object to the placement of such sign, if the sign does create some type of nuisance or in some other way interferes with the owner's use of his property and the HOA board would have to hold hearing to determine whether the owner has sufficient basis to object to the placement of the sign in the right of way in front of the owner's house.
I wish you the best of luck!
