i think it was ch13 but let me find his file...
ch 7, granted in April 2003, after the liens were filed
I don't know. The creditors are listed on this document labeled Certificate of Service. Is it something as simple as writing a letter for them to do a release of the lien? Or should I consult with an attorney to do this?
Hi Fred, I forgot about the first part of my question. How was I able to refinance my house if those liens were still present?
I went to the courthouse in my county a few years ago and found the documents. I also got a subscription online where I can see them, they are still there. I asked my lender who did the refi for me and he doesn't know why they are still there b/c we would not have been able to refi. He is looking back in his files to see if he can find something. I found my husband's bankruptcy attorney's phone number and am waiting to hear back from her. Thanks again.
