My husband and I had 3 two family rentals and one single family where we lived no for a fact the mortgage lender did creative financing because they even changed my husbands name. We did not sign closing papers as written, still it went through. We bought a house every year starting in 2001, 2002 and 2003. With no money down they sucked us rigut in. Then in 2007-08 the city of Cleveland, county auditor Mr Russo increased all property value at least /$10000. Who is now serving 25 yrs in prison for coruption. This act caused properrty tax increases and mortgage note increases because taxes were included in the note. After 6 more evictions we had to do for non payment ot rent and property tax and value increased we had to refy 3 homes. The brokers took all of the eqity and left us with a mess. We had to file bankruptcy. The houses were empty and being foreclosed on. We are broke and retired seniors now with challenging medical conditions. Our problem is the motgage companies walkef.
How can we prove they did these loans fraudulently on their part.
Why are you attempting to prove this at this very late date? Have you consulted attorneys about what would be necessary to sue anyone about your situation?
That is what I want to know is there someone we can sue? When we filed bankruptcy all corresponce said this is not an attempt to collect a debt. They refued in my name only
You don't provide any dates for any of the events, but I strongly suspect that several things apply to your unfortunate situation: 1) The people who made you the loans were predatory lenders who are no longer in business; 2) the loans were taken out more than six years ago and the statute of limitations for suits based on those loans has expired; 3) You are not able to find attorneys who would take your case on a contingency fee basis, and you cannot pay attorney fees for a long and contested law suit; 4) you do not have the legal training to handle a complex case against a large corporation (assuming any are still around) on your own. In summary you have little or no chance of successfully suing anyone to recoup what you lost in the real estate debacle of the 2000s, As a practical matter regarding your problem properties and notices from the city, I know people in your situation who have formed LLCs just to hold title to their unwanted properties. I am not saying that I recommend it, but I know that it is done. Good luck, I do sympathize with what you've been through and wish you the best in the future.

This would technically take the properties out of your names. Check with a local attorney on whether this is effective in your area. Thanks for the positive rating,
Just checked, it was 2007 and 2008 refyed
