I stopped paying on my HELOC in October of 2009. Vacated property in March of 2010. Foreclosure became final in November of 2010.

When does the Statute of Limitations kick in? October 2013 (4 years after last payment)? Thirty days later, in November 2013 (4 years after default)? Or four years after the Foreclosure?

The statute is based on the date of breach, so the date that you missed the first payment before the foreclosure would be the start for a four year statute.
