Real Estate Law
Have Real Estate Law Questions? Ask a Real Estate Lawyer.
Hello. Thank you for using JustAnswer.
If the legal entity is no longer in existence, then you can file a "quiet title" action in order to have the lien removed.
This is best done by a local attorney, but it should not cost too much because there will be no party to oppose your complaint.
Instead, you would be awarded default judgment and the court would sign off on a new, clear deed.
