I WOULD THEN JUST EXPLAIN MY SITUATION, HOPE FOR THE BEST! SO MAYBE< I SHOULD JUST CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT WITH THEIR ATTORNEY UNTIL I'VE CONSULTED SOMEONE MYSELF.

I think you should call and request that they assist you with locating a local business attorney. They should endeavor to assist you with locating an attorney.

No one should be opening your mail other than you. It is a federal offense to intentionally open someone else's mail.
