Hi Jenn. If you are sure you want to do this, I can help you out. But it's not a pleasant task for you or for the dog. Also, you want to make sure it is only a slight impaction before you try to do it at home. If they are severely impacted and/or if there is any infection already building, you could do more harm than good and end up with an even higher vet bill for surgery than what it might cost to just have the vet or a good dog groomer do it for you. I have links to several articles for you, including some with pictures. The combination will have all you need to know, to make an assessment and how it is done, if you decide to proceed on your own.
