I ironed a black dress and the iron was a little too hot. Now there are shiny spots on the dress where I ironed. Is there any way to get rid of this?

Mr. Knowitall:What has happened is you have melted the threades in the material and flattened them
Customer (name blocked for privacy): I realize that - is there any way to un-do what I did?
Mr. Knowitall:No not really once you meelt polyester like any plastic it embeds the cotton threads into it.
