Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy);

The USDA recommends that the minimum temprature that you cook a turkey at is 350 degrees. Using a slow cooker is ok but only if it will do it at 350+.

The recommended cooking time for an average bird 12-15 pounds is 20 minuits per pound. Basting regularly to check on doneness. Add 2 minuits per pound over 15 and under 20. 20 and over add 5 minuits per pound.

The minimum temprature for the inside of the bird is 160 degrees.
