Valium in therapeutic doses is effective for less than a day,
however it can be detectable for much longer.
Exactly how long is a question for which there is no simple
answer as it depends on many factors such as dosage, body
weight, detection method, etc.

Some internet sites suggest that benzodiazepine
metabolites can be detected in urine up to a month after usage,
like this one.

I would tend to put more faith in the data from this site. They suggest a urine detection time of just 1-3 days, I figure I have seen independently in other places.

I'm sorry I can't be more precise. That is in the nature of the
problem.
