Question

I have a 2002 Avalanche when I come to a stop the Anti Lock Brake system starts in and the brake pedal pulses , Is there a recall on this or what can be the cause????

This has been a pretty common problem in these vehicles. There was a recall on it. If you post your vin# I can see if it was done or needs to be done on your avalanche. the cause is corrosion at the wheel speed sensor.

Your vehicle was done already on 2-10-06 at 45174 miles. Your best bet would be to remove the wheel, caliper and rotor on both front wheels and make sure that the wheel speed sensors are in fact still clean. Otherwise this truck will need to be hooked up to a class 2 scan tool to see which sensor is at fault. You may actually have a failing sensor, but that will be unknown until the scan tool is hooked up. I hope this helps. Sorry, I wish I could have given you better news!
