Is the blood bright red or dark?
Is there an odor?
Are her gums pale?
Is it more of a brownish than a dark red?
Is her rectum swollen at all?
Is she scooting on her bottom or licking the area?

What you are likely seeing is impacted anal glands. You can try to express them yourself (although quite messy) or you can have your vet or a groomer do it for you. You can read all about anal glands and how to express them at the website below. :) To help her to express these naturally, consider adding just a teaspoon of plain canned pumpkin to her meals 2-3 times per week :) Good luck with your girl :)
