looking for free clean fill dirt

where would I find free fill dirt that would be close to the Fenton, Byron area in mi.I need about 1000 yards or so, but any amount will help. Need it close enough to haul or to have delivered for a smaller fee.

I searched your local tri-county's newspaper's classified ads and found nothing current on the subject of fill dirt. My only suggestion to you is to contact a topsoil and fill dirt hauler in the area and ask them for a quote.

You might find that they can deliver a "full load" of up to about ten cubic yards for under $300. I have recently had this done for me on an island in WA state and it was well worth the price. Much of the cost was labor, and they were able to precision-dump it and flatten the filled-in area.
