Question

I adopted 7 months old cats, siblings. They don' have voices. The boy makes some very low faint noises sometimes, but the girl is totally silent, making only sniffing noises. I've noted also, that the boy snores while sleeping sometimes. What could be wrong with them? They are with us for 4 months now, and nothing seems to change. Is it sign of any medical condition? It sounds like they have had an upper respiratory infection. Sometimes those leave the cats with congestion and very small voices.
You can read about upper respiratory infections in cats here

Some cats do better if they are put on a medication to boost their immune system such as interferon. And some can clear up if a course of antibiotics to eliminate lingering bacterial infection is used.
Hope this helps you!
