Hello,

You can just clean the ear off with some Betadine scrub and put some Neosporin on the ear. They will usually heal up on their own , but this will help with any problem of impending infection and soothe the ear. As far as going away for two days, make sure whomever is hamster sitting has a list of feeding requirements, bedding requirements (no pine or cedar), treats, cleaning, and a number for a Vet who has Pocket Pet experience. You can also leave instructions on how to reach us here at Justanswer incase they may need help. Joan jav917
