Hello and welcome to Just Answer !

In whatever area you chose, there will be restrictions on what you can do, say, or the actions that you take when it concerns teens. I have studied a bit about this, because I used to counsel teens back some years ago.

You don't say what schooling you have had, or your age. I found counseling to be very fulfilling, and it really helped as my own children were growing up. As a police officer it depends on what area they put you in. If you are trying to work in a school capacity, you will of course have to undergo their rules and being checked out to see your background. If you have ever been in any trouble etc.

If you feel working with teens is what you want to do with your life, I would start out by volunteering at any agencies that are dealing with teen issues. Big Brother and Sister, any place where you would be helping as a aid, until you are sure this is what you want to do.

It can be very fulfilling and a challenge.

I dont want to deal with kids that programs like big brother are involved with as far as I know atleast. I want to deal more with those in high school hich in society today is where people collapse and have the most trouble. and I just hate seeing it because the social and societal system of today has failed its youth completely when they are in high school. The system just isnt their.
