Question

I have an 8 year old border collie who just underwent heartworm treatment two weeks ago. About a week ago his nose starting bleeding periodically. He was diagnosed as a level 2 heartworm patient. I know that there are several possible reasons for this.....any thoughts?

Hi,

Any other symptoms? Any drainage from the nose?

Reply to Tammy F.'s Post: No, he doesn't have any other symptoms. He feels great otherwise. Bowels are good as are eating habits. He has never had a bloody nose before this and it feels like somehow this is related to the after effects of the heartworm treatment.

Answer

Has he been coughing and gagging since his treatment?
