Question

When putting in a new carrier baering is it possible that it might need to be shimmed to get the right alignment and how is this done?

A carrier bearing uses a crush sleeve to set the pinion gear, if you did not replace the ring and pinion,and the bearing is tight,it will seem that way when turning by hand.If you don't have a crush sleeve,then there should have been shims in between the pinion and the bearing. Tell me the Year make and model,2 or X XXXXX XXXXX,and engine size.
